We spent a week with our 2 children, and it was a perfect spot for week of rest and relaxation with the kids. The village and surrounding area are beautiful and the house is very cozy and charming. The garden outside is a great place to relax with a good book and glass of wine while children run around the village and play.

What can I say? I have long dreamed of renting a house in the country in the South of France. This is everything I hoped for and more. We meandered down countless country roads, coming across magnificent views at every turn. We explored ancient stone cathedrals and castle ruins, returning at the end of the day to our wonderful farmhouse to eat in the lavender garden and watch the sun set. Miraculous. This is a vacation we will draw upon in the dead of Canadian winter.

We are so glad that we stayed here for two weeks. It is such a beautiful area and such a special house. I am really impressed with what you have created! Many lovely evenings sitting in the garden, enjoying the aroma of mint, lavender (and even the cows!). You have a wonderfully equipped kitchen, which we used to the fullest. We discovered lots of wonderful treasures in the area and have many wonderful memories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house and hope to come back soon. For years, we have had a favourite place in the Lot & Dordogne, but this definitely can compete. We love the simple furnishings and fittings, but all the necessary comforts are also here. The garden is delightful and the views fantastic. We loved the Allier valley with all its villages and bridges and also very much enjoyed Brioude, Langeac and the markets in Paulhaguet and Puy en Velay.

Thanks for sharing your paradise with me. I loved opening the volets each morning to look out at the lavender and the verdant hills and listening to the song of the hirondelles and other birds. During the day, I enjoyed swimming in the Allier river and taking in the markets in Langeac, Paulhaguet,Puy end Velay and Chilhac. The evenings were filled with the song of the cicadas when I wasn’t out at a local concert. I was especially impressed by the kindness of the Auvergnats in St Privat, Lavoûte-Chilhac, Lavaudieu and Brioude – partout.
